Crisis Management for Construction

Course Overview

Learn from our Risk Control specialists what you can do to survive a construction-related crisis. This workshop is designed as a starting point to help you develop a formal plan for your company or to review your current plan.

Despite the best laid plans, sometimes things go wrong. Are you prepared? All businesses need a plan for responding to conditions that could disrupt their ability to operate. Company representatives should have the necessary skills to portray their company in the best light, while continuing to work under difficult circumstances. Experience has shown that a company’s chances of managing a crisis increase exponentially with the amount of planning and training done before a crisis occurs. At the conclusion of the session, participants should be able to:

  • Cite reasons for developing a crisis management plan.
  • Name the components of an effective crisis management plan.
  • Identify the techniques for handling media attention during a crisis.
